Nilesh Shah is a successful businessman, a dedicated Rotarian, and someone who truly loves nature. He was born in Kosamba, Surat district, and later moved to Vapi with his parents, Late Shri Rameshbhai and Late Smt. Jayshreeben. He studied commerce at ROFEL College in Vapi and started his own printing and design business called Sharp Graphics.
His Rotary journey began in 1993 when he joined the Rotaract Club of Vapi. He was an active member for 10 years and was honored as the Best Rotaractor by DG Dr. Chetan Patel. In 2000–2001, he became the club’s President, and under his leadership, the club won 25 awards, including Best Club and Best President.
One of his proudest achievements was creating the Rotaract Garden in Gunjan, Vapi—turning a garbage dump into a beautiful green space. For this, he received the Outstanding Young Indian award in 2002 from JCI India.
In 2003, Nilesh became a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Vapi Riverside and served as its first Secretary. Over the years, he held many roles and received several awards, including the Four Avenues of Service Award, Best Chairman, and Rotarian of the Year.
In 2010–11, he became the President of Rotary Vapi Riverside. During his term, the club completed many impactful projects:
- Explore – a thematic exhibition
- Collected 917 units of blood
- Organized a quiz competition for English medium schools in Valsad
- Donated an RO water plant and girls’ toilet block to Chala Mukhya Shala
- Conducted the DG’s Dream Project Target – Thalassemia in two colleges
- Helped over 75 children with cleft lip and palate surgeries
- Laid the foundation stone for the club’s permanent project – a Girls Hostel
That year, the club received top honors, including:
- RI President Citation with Distinction
- Rotary Foundation’s RSFM and EREY Club Banner
- District Governor Citation – Platinum Club
- Best President and Outstanding Club awards
- Ann Binota Kalyan Banerjee EREY Trophy
Nilesh has also served Rotary at the district level in many important roles, such as:

- Award of Excellence
Nilesh is married to Shruti, and they have two wonderful daughters, Vrushti and Yuti. Both were active in the Interact Club of RVR Blooming Buds. Vrushti served as President and participated in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program in Wisconsin, USA. Yuti was Secretary of the club and later joined the Rotaract Club of Vapi Riverside. Today, both daughters are married and settled in Canada.
Nilesh and Shruti are Major Donors (Level 1), and both daughters are Paul Harris Fellows.
